About Mountain Ash

Hi, I'm Janet Morrow owner of Mountain Ash Web Works. Here in Aroostook County, Maine we have the best of both life styles. The peace and beauty of Northern Maine greets us at our doorstep, and the world is as close as our finger tips.

I have often been asked why I live in Northern, Maine, and why I entered the fast pace world of web design? There is one reason that I live in Presque Isle, and one reason that I started doing web design, "I LOVE IT!"

How did I first become interested in website design? After completing a one-hundred and twenty page research report on resources for adopted children with special needs, several things became quite obvious.

First, most people judge a book by its cover. When a website comes up, we judge its potential content by what we see.

Second, a large number of websites show little creativity or imagination. They appear to be "canned" pages, and as a result most people pay little or no attention to them or their content.

Third, the Internet is an invaluable tool. Through the Internet, e-mail, and faxes, I was able to work with agencies, specialist, and physicians throughout the United States. The effective use of the Internet gave me the power to change lives.

Unfortunately, too many businesses do not take advantage of this powerful tool. Products, sales, services, and support are available to clients twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.

At Mountain Ash our job is -- "Making the web work for you!"
